Motorcyclist Suffers Possible Broken Arm in Crash
SHERMAN OAKS (May 4, 2018)– A motorcyclist was injured following a collision Friday morning on the I-405 south freeway at the Burbank Boulevard off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities were notified of the collision at roughly 7:26 a.m. when a motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle thought to be a BMW directly under the overpass.

According to the CHP dispatch report, the rider had been the operator of a 2013 red Honda Impact and riding in either the carpool or the No. 1 lane was thrown off his bike and injured.
The unidentified victim sustained injuries which closely resembled a broken arm and was rushed to a hospital for immediate evaluation.
Meanwhile, the driver of the BMW did not appear to have been injured. The vehicle did incur damage to its drivers’ side, the report added.
Details in regards to the cause of the collision were not revealed as authorities remained present at the scene investigating as of 9:30 a.m.
Heavy traffic delays ensued lasting nearly two hours.

California Highway Patrol will carry out a forensic examination of both the vehicle and the motorcycle, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators determine which party ultimately caused the accident.
