Boy, 11, Victim in Fatal Bicycle Accident
MONTCLAIR (September 6, 2018)- An 11-year-old boy who attended Vernon Middle School was sadly fatally injured following a bicycle accident with a vehicle this morning, according to the Montclair police officials.
The collision was reported to have occurred at 8:00 a.m. at the intersection of San Bernardino Street and Vernon Avenue.
Authorities confirmed the unidentified boy was rushed to a hospital by ambulance before tragically succumbing to his injuries.
At this time, police have disclosed that the vehicle involved was a pickup truck whose driver did remain at the scene and was compliant with investigators.
No further details have been revealed as the investigation is ongoing.
