Acura Driver Suffers Head Injury
WASCO (November 7, 2018)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a major injury collision involving a big rig was reported this morning at Magnolia Avenue and Garces Highway.
At roughly 9:08 a.m., CHP officials responded to the crash site where a semi-truck hauling a trailer collided with a gray Acura sedan.
According to authorities, the driver of the Acura sustained a very serious head injury as blood was seen running down their face prior to being removed from the vehicle by EMTs and taken to a hospital.
It did not appear that the driver of the semi-truck suffered any form of injury.
At this time, the cause of the collision remains unclear as those details are currently being reviewed by CHP.

Based on the information provided in this report, it remains unclear which motorist will be held at fault. Authorities will thoroughly look into how fast each of the drivers was traveling, whether or not alcohol or drugs were involved, whether or not there were any mechanical issues with either the semi-truck or the sedan. The investigation will also consist of looking at measurements of evidence left by the big rig such as point of impact, final resting positions of each vehicle, skid marks, and gouge marks.
