A forensic examination of each of the vehicles involved, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators determine what ultimately caused the accident. Based on the preliminary information provided, however, it appears as though one of the drivers will be held liable for this crash as it has been determined that he was under the influence as he crossed over into oncoming traffic directly into the path of the other two vehicles.
In such cases where negligence or wrongdoing was confirmed to have been a factor, injured accident victims will possess the right to file personal injury lawsuits against the negligent motorist.
