Aaron Brown, 74, Killed in Spring Valley Hit-and-Run on State Route 94 at Bancroft
SPRING VALLEY, CA (May 26, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed Aaron Brown on State Route 94 at Bancroft Drive in Spring Valley.
Family members identified the 74-year-old Spring Valley man as the victim of the fatal accident which occurred last week on Wednesday.
The incident happened when Aaron Brown was walking across the Bancroft Drive on-ramp to westbound State Route 94 in Spring Valley.
He was walking to a bus stop to go to work at a Kenworth truck dealership. The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle struck him for an unknown reason.
Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle in Spring Valley
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found Aaron Brow left wounded on the ground. He sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the elderly pedestrian to the Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, where he was taken off life support.
San Diego Union-Tribune and ABC 10 News wrote that the crash took place on May 19 shortly after 5:50 a.m. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
Authorities are still searching for the motorist. The Spring Valley hit-and-run crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the CHP’s El Cajon office at (619) 401-2000.
