Bicyclist Killed in Crash on San Pablo Dam Road
EL SOBRANTE, Calif. (Feb. 8, 2019) — Aaron DeMuynzk, 52, of El Sobrante, was identified as the bicyclist who was fatally hit by a car last weekend on San Pablo Dam Road.
DeMuynzk died Wednesday at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek from major injuries, the California Highway Patrol said.
The driver in a 1999 silver Toyota reportedly struck DeMuynzk about 1:15 a.m. on February 2. The vehicle was traveling on San Pablo Dam Road and hit the bicyclist about 10 feet east of Appian Way, according to the CHP.
The CHP is heading up the investigation into what happened.
