Pursuit Ends in Fatal Collision at Cedar and Randall Avenue
Rialto, CA (April 2, 2022) – Aaron McDonald, and Irene Jaramillo both died following a traffic crash that occurred in the area of Cedar and Randall Avenue.
The KTLA5 News reported local officers spotted a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed at the intersection of Linden and Randall Avenue. Given that, police launched a pursuit on the speeding motorist. Officials said the chase of a gray 2014 Nissan Maxima began in Colton shortly before 1 a.m.
When the pursuit reached the Rialto city limits, the suspect reportedly ran a red light at Cedar and Randall. The Maxima ended up colliding with a silver 2019 Nissan Sentra, then veered off the roadway. According to the article published online, the Maxima came to a rest after slamming into a home on the 1200 block of West Randall Avenue.

Responding emergency crews rendered aid to all people found at the accident scene. Our sources indicated two occupants in the Sentra suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision. Due to their condition, paramedics rushed the two patients to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where they later sadly died. Authorities identified the fatal victim as 31-year-old Aaron McDonald of Bloomington; and 30-year-old Irene Jaramillo of Rialto.
After the unfortunate event, police booked the driver of the Maxima into a San Bernardino County jail. Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
