NAPA, Calif. (July 19, 2018) — Abner Bustamante was injured in a collision that killed the driver in a solo-vehicle crash on Highway 221, according to the Napa Valley Register.
The crash took place about 4:20 p.m. yesterday. The driver of a 2008 Chevrolet sedan was heading southbound on Highway 221 when they lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole. Paramedics and the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene to help the victims. The passenger suffered minor injuries in the crash, but the driver died.
Traffic Accident Investigation
At this time, there are many unanswered questions about what led to this collision. Police are reviewing the evidence at the scene and will piece together what happened. It’s unknown if mechanical problems or faulty airbags were contributing factors at this time.
