12-Year-Old Boy Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash In Acton
ACTON, Calif. (April 26, 2021) – An Action crash on the 14 Freeway left a 12-year-old boy dead and three people injured on Friday.
Also, the crash happened about 11:05 p.m. on April 23rd on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) freeway, north of Crown Valley Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 23-year-old Lancaster driver in a 2011 Honda Accord allegedly rear-ended a 1999 Honda Accord occupied by four people including the boy who died. A 15-year-old boy also in the older-model Honda suffered major injuries. Meanwhile, paramedics transported a 31-year-old woman and 31-year-old man in the vehicle to the hospital for minor injuries.
Antelope Valley 14 Freeway Car Accident
Upon impact, the 1999 Honda Accord spun out of control and wound up facing southbound traffic in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway.
Two boys and two adults were taken to Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, but sadly, the younger boy died early the next morning.
Additionally, the Lancaster resident driving the 2011 Honda suffered minor injuries in the 14 Freeway crash.
It’s unknown if drugs and or alcohol were factors in the collision.
