Adam Huskey, 32, Killed in Clearlake Skateboard Crash on Emory Avenue
CLEARLAKE, CA (July 26, 2022) – Skateboarder Adam Huskey was killed after a crash on Emory Avenue in Clearlake.
Police identified the 32-year-old Clearlake man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Monday.
The incident happened when Adam Huskey was riding a motorized skateboard on Emory Avenue in Clearlake. For an unknown reason, a Chevrolet Silverado struck him.
Skateboarder Hit by Car
Police said the pickup truck hit the skateboarder just south of Mullen Avenue. The Press Democrat and The Lake County News wrote that the accident occurred on July 25 at about 10:45 a.m.
Adam Huskey ended up suffering from serious injuries as a result of the skateboard incident. Paramedics arrived and then pronounced him dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, police soon arrested the driver of the car on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. Officers forced a stretch of Emory Avenue to shut down for a time following the collision.
The cause of the Clearlake skateboard crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the police at 707-994-8251.
