ADELANTO, California (March 10, 2017) – Three were injured, one seriously, in a head-on collision Friday afternoon on Palmdale Road, according to The Daily Press.
The accident involving two vehicles was reported just before 4 p.m., just east of Verbena Road.
As per the article, Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station said a man was driving a tan Infinity sedan west on Palmdale Road when he tried to pass a vehicle by entering the eastbound lane over double yellow lines.
The driver of the Infiniti moved back into the westbound lane onto the right shoulder after seeing a black Ford Explorer traveling east. The Infiniti then overcorrected and collided head-on with the Explorer.
San Bernardino County Fire Department affirmed that the male motorist was partially ejected from the Infiniti and was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with injuries described as serious, but non-life-threatening. A witness alleged that the man was driving erratically while attempting to pass traffic.
The two occupants of the Explorer were transported to Desert Valley Hospital with injuries ranging from minor to moderate degree. The names of the parties involved and their condition at this time were not released.
The incident is still under investigation.
