FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (June 21, 2024) – Adeline Ramos, 43, of Selma, died in a crash involving a suspected DUI driver on Highway 180, just west of Cornelia Avenue in Fresno County.

The woman was a passenger riding in a 2007 Nissan Sentra traveling eastbound on Highway 180, Your Central Valley News reports. The vehicle was involved in a head-on crash occurred at 12:15 a.m. on June 20th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The other motorist was identified as Amadeo Manera, 21, of Kerman. He was driving a 2019 Nissan Versa westbound on Highway 180 prior to the collision. He allegedly veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on into the Nissan Sentra.

Paramedics responded and rushed Adeline Ramos to Community Regional Medical Center Fresno, however, she later died from her injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Sentra she was riding in was treated for major injuries at the hospital, but there are no further details.

Amadeo Manera was also taken to a hospital with major injuries and was later arrested on DUI charges and vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department.
