Adolfo Ambriz Heredia, 75, Killed in Bicycle Crash at Oxnard Boulevard and Wooley Road
OXNARD, CA (January 13, 2021) – A bicycle accident killed Adolfo Ambriz Heredia at Oxnard Boulevard and Wooley Road in Oxnard.
The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office said the 75-year-old Oxnard man died following the crash last week on Saturday.
The incident happened on January 9 when a 2019 Peterbuilt semi with a 53-foot trailer was going northbound on Oxnard Boulevard.
Elderly Bicyclist Hit by Truck in Oxnard
The truck turned onto Wooley Road and then struck Adolfo Ambriz Heredia. Herdia was riding a bicycle at the Five Points intersection at the time.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and pronounced the rider dead at the scene. Officers reported the collision at about 3:43 p.m.
According to the article published by The Ventura County Star, the driver of the semi stopped on the right side of the road after hitting the elderly cyclist.
Officials forced all traffic at the intersection to shut down for hours following the crash. The cause of the fatal incident is still under investigation.
