Felipe Parra, 27; and Danny Torres, 21, Victims in South L.A. Hit-and-Run Crash
LOS ANGELES (September 25, 2019) – The alleged hit-and-run driver who killed two pedestrians near Normandie Avenue and 95th Street Tuesday has been named.
The California Highway Patrol said Adolfo Flores Jr. was the suspect of the fatal crash which occurred on September 24.
Officers believed that Flores was driving a 1990 Mercedes at a high rate of speed south when he struck two male pedestrians near the intersection.
According to KTLA and CBS Los Angeles, the two men were walking west across Normandie Avenue when they were hit at about 8:25 p.m. in the Westmont neighborhood.
Paramedics responded to the site and pronounced one man dead at the scene. The other victim was immediately taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Suspected Hit-and-Run Driver ID’d as Adolfo Flores Jr.
They have been identified as 27-year-old Felipe Parra and 21–year-old Danny Torres. Both were residents of Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that Flores did not stop to help Parra and Torres and took off southbound on Normandie. He left his car’s license plate while fleeing.
Authorities later located the Mercedes involved but without the suspect at 81st Street and Western Avenue. The incident remains under investigation.
