Drunk Driver Fatally Hits Man Near Sierra Avenue
Fontana, CA (July 27, 2022) – Adrian Llamas-Navarro, a 25-year-old man, died following a suspected DUI collision that occurred on the Interstate 10 Freeway.
The Fontana Herald News reported a solo-car crash took place in the westbound side of the freeway on July 24. According to the article published online, the driver stepped out of the car after the accident.

In the area near Sierra Avenue, an allegedly drunk driver struck the man standing in the traffic lanes. The second collision resulted in serious injuries to the victim. Despite life-saving measures performed by responding paramedics, the pedestrian sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner’s Division identified the deceased as Adrian Llamas-Navarro, of Pomona.
Investigators later determined the motorist was intoxicated when he struck the victim. Police eventually arrested the DUI suspect for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
At this time, detectives continue to determine several unclear factor surrounding the deadly crash on Interstate 10 in Fontana.
