Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near White Lane
Bakersfield, CA (August 10, 2022) – Adriana Gamez, a 22-year-old woman, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Highway 99.
The KGET News reported a vehicle struck a female party on the highway near White Lane. Preliminary investigation revealed the woman stepped into the traffic for an unknown reason. According to the article published online, an oncoming motorist swerved to avoid the pedestrian. However, the right side of the car still hit the woman.
The horrible crash took place Sunday at approximately 3:40 a.m.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 in Bakersfield
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to the injured person. An ambulance rushed the female pedestrian to Kern Medical for further treatment. Sadly, the patient succumbed to her injuries and passed away. The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as Adriana Gamez.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver involved in the unfortunate event. Detectives handling the case continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the deadly accident that happened on Highway 99 in Bakersfield.
