
Pedestrian, 29, Struck and Killed on Pomona Freeway
MONTEBELLO, Calif. (Sept. 18, 2024) – Adwale Oyedokun, 29, died in a pedestrian accident Tuesday night on the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway in Montebello.
The deadly crash occurred at 10:38 p.m. on Sept. 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP sent police officers to the freeway near the Garfield Avenue off-ramp, police said.
They located the pedestrian down in the roadway and the vehicle involved was blocking a traffic lane on the freeway, police said.
Unfortunately, the Adwale Oyedokun suffered fatal injuries at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff-Coroner.
Meanwhile, CHP officials issued a SigAlert and closed down three lanes of the eastbound freeway for several hours to conduct an investigation into the fatal pedestrian accident in Montebello.
