Sacramento Woman Struck, Killed on Marysville Blvd.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (July 26, 2023) — Aesjah Alysee Penn, 27, of Sacramento, died in a pedestrian accident Sunday night on Marysville Boulevard.
The deadly collision occurred around 9:02 p.m. on July 23rd, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner.
A driver struck the young woman in the roadway near Sonoma Avenue, according to KCRA News.
The woman suffered severe injuries and went down in the roadway.
The Sacramento Fire Department sent paramedics to the scene and they transported the injured woman to a hospital. However, despite efforts to save her life, Aesjah Alysee Penn died from her injuries.
Meanwhile, police remained on the scene and questioned the involved driver about what happened. The motorist cooperated with authorities. It’s unknown if there are any charges against the driver at this time as authorities piece together what happened.
An investigation into liability for the fatal pedestrian accident is ongoing.
