1 Dead, 1 Injured in San Joaquin Crash
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (August 25, 2023) — Agustina Cano-De Arambula, 70, of San Joaquin, died and a 72-year-old man was injured in a crash with a semi-truck at Manning Avenue and Adams Avenue in San Joaquin, Fresno County.
The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner identified the woman who died in the two-vehicle crash around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23rd.
The collision occurred when a semi-truck hauling grapes in a vineyard came out of the field and turned left onto Manning Avenue, ABC 30 News reports. The truck reportedly drove into the path of an SUV occupied by Agustina Cano-De Arambula.
The two vehicles collided and the 72-year-old driver of the SUV and the woman both suffered major injuries. She was transported by air ambulance to a hospital where she died shortly after the crash. The driver survived with major injuries.
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old man driving the semi-truck stopped and cooperated with the investigation.
