Pilot, Passenger Survive Emergency Plane Landing in Corona
CORONA, Calif. (August 9, 2022) — An airplane landed on the eastbound Riverside (91) Freeway Tuesday afternoon, just west of the Interstate 15 Freeway in Corona.
The emergency landing happened about 12:31 p.m. on August 9th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP dispatch reports the pilot and a passenger managed to get out of the aircraft and were coherent, but it’s unknown if there are any injuries.
The Corona Fire Department responded to the scene to help anyone hurt in the crash.
Meanwhile, the Corona Police Department closed down the Lincoln on ramp to the 91 Freeway.
