Aiver Delatorre Tulare Crash
The driver of the Hyundai identified as Venico Ramos Becerril, 40, of Fresno, had been headed westbound prior to losing control for a brief moment as he drifted to the shoulder. Becerril quickly attempted to regain control but over-corrected directly into the lane occupied by the Ford driven by Aiver Delatorre.
The collision tragically caused fatal injuries to Becerril as he was found unconscious in his vehicle upon the arrival of sheriff officials and paramedics. He was pronounced at the scene.
Meanwhile, Delatorre and his four passengers were shaken up, however, it was not confirmed within the story whether or not they injured and what their current conditions are at this time.
Tulare police officials are currently investigating whether or not the Fresno man was under the influence at the time of the accident as toxicology reports have not been released.
Per the Times-Delta, Sunday’s collision accounted for the sixth fatal crash in Tulare in 2017.
Tulare Wrongful Death Lawyer
Based on this news report, it appears as though the driver of the Hyundai, Venico Becerril, triggered the collision as it has been confirmed that he crossed into oncoming traffic directly into the path of Mr. Delatorre’s vehicle. There are still several unanswered questions here. Was the driver under the influence of alcohol or drugs? Did excessive speed or distracted driving play a role? Was the driver negligent in any other way? We trust officials are looking into these and other factors in order to determine precisely what occurred here and why.
In such cases where negligence or wrongdoing may have been a factor, Mr. Delatorre and his passengers may file a personal injury lawsuit against the at-fault driver seeking recompense for damages including medical expenses, pain and suffering, and lost future income.
