Alameda County, CA (November 13, 2021) – A police officer suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on Nile Canyon Road.

The East Bay Times News reported the deputy was responding to a prowler call Saturday evening. While heading out, the patrol vehicle collided with another car in the area west of Palomares Road.

Responding emergency crews rendered first aid to the officer found with injuries. Due to the condition of the victim, paramedics transported them to a trauma center for treatment. The name and age of the injured deputy remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

Authorities added a passenger in the civilian vehicle involved in the accident sustained injuries in the collision. Per local news source, the injured party drove themselves to a local emergency room with a complaint of pain.
