ALAMEDA (May 18, 2016)- According to the San Francisco Gate, a 15-year-old student at Encinal High School identified as Giovanni Pulido collapsed during football drills Tuesday evening and later died.
At roughly 6:00 p.m., coaches had players doing conditioning workouts when Giovanni Pulido suddenly went down at roughly 6:00 p.m.
The 15-year-old teen was rushed to Highland Hospital, where he tragically did not survive and was presumed deceased.
At this time, the cause of the teenager’s death remains under close investigation.
Encinal High School will be providing counselors throughout the week for students to help cope with the sudden loss of their classmate.
