Hit-and-Run Suspects in Jamestown Crash ID’d as Albert Roman III,, 20; and Nathaniel Stetson, 19,
JAMESTOWN, CA (March 31, 2021) – Authorities detained Albert Roman III and Nathaniel Stetson after a hit-and-run crash with drugs in Jamestown.
The California Highway Patrol identified the two of the three occupants who fled following the wreck on Monday afternoon.
The incident began when 20-year-old Albert Roman III was driving a 2005 Mercedes sedan at a high rate of speed on Chicken Ranch Road in Jamestown. He was traveling with 19-year-old Nathaniel Stetson and a 16-year-old girl at the time.
CHP said his vehicle then went off the road and up the embankment off Highway 108. The 2005 Mercedes overturned on top of a 2001 Mercedes sedan in the process.
Richard Alvarez, 69, Injured in Collision on Chicken Ranch Road
Paramedics treated a passenger in the 2001 Mercedes, 69-year-old Modesto resident Richard Alvarez, for the minor injuries he sustained in the crash.
The driver, 60-year-old Floyd Johnson Jr., of Modesto. did not sustain any wound as a result of the accident. The Ceres Courier and My Mother Lode reported the collision at around 3:50 p.m. near the casino.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the three people riding the speeding car ran away following the wreck. Officers found them and arrested Albert Roman III, of Oakdale, for felony hit-and-run.
They also detained Nathaniel Stetson, of Ceres, for delaying the duties of a peace officer. Authorities later found a baggy of a white crystal substance, believed to be Methamphetamine, in one of his shoes.
They soon charged him with bringing a controlled substance into jail. The Jamestown hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
