Albert Henry Sweeney, 71, Victim in Essex Fatal Crash on Interstate 40
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CA (April 22, 2021) – Albert Sweeney was killed after a crash along the Interstate 40 in Essex.
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified the 71-year-old Kingman, Arizona man as the victim of the fatal wreck on Tuesday.
The incident happened when Albert Henry Sweeney was driving a Ford van on the Interstate 40 near mile marker 87 in the Essex community.

The sheriff’s department said for an unknown reason, his van and multiple other vehicles collided. Deputies reported the accident on April 20 at about 4:01 p.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and pronounced Albert Sweeney dead at the scene. The press release did not mention if any other party ended up injured as a result of the collision.
Meanwhile, officers forced a portion of the roadway to shut down for a time following the wreck. The tragic Essex crash is still under investigation.
