
Man, 21, Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision on Soledad Canyon Road
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (August 12, 2024) – Alberto Hernandez, 21, died after a crash involving a trash truck on Soledad Canyon Road in the Canyon Country area east of Santa Clarita.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 8 a.m. in the 17800 block of Soledad Canyon Road, near Galeton Avenue and just north of the Santa Clarita River, according to KHTS and the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
A driver collided with a Burrtec Waste Industries Inc. trash truck due to unknown circumstances. The silver sedan became stuck partially under the truck.
Paramedics responded and located Alberto Hernandez with fatal injuries and a second person with injuries who they transported to a hospital in unknown condition, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Santa Clarita Station.
Police are investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash and will determine fault.
