Alberto Patino Hit by Car in Fatal Pedestrian Accident
ANAHEIM, Calif. (July 3, 2018) – A man in a motorized wheelchair died Monday night after he was struck and killed by a vehicle as he attempted to cross Lincoln Avenue just west of Euclid Street, according to the Anaheim Police Department.
UPDATE: Alberto Alvarado Patino, 63, of Anaheim, was identified by the Orange County Coroner as the victim who died in the crash.
The victim was allegedly crossing the street outside a crosswalk at the time he was struck, police said.
Paramedics rushed the injured man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators who do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, Wyatt said.
Police closed down Lincoln Avenue west of Euclid Street for several hours
