Alcier Albert, 27, ID’d as Suspect in Arden-Arcade Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash
ARDEN-ARCADE, CA (November 10, 2021) – Officers detained Alcier Albert after a fatal hit-and-run crash in Arden-Arcade.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 27-year-old Carmichael man as the suspect who killed a pedestrian in a collision on Tuesday.
The incident began when Alcier Francis Albert was driving a stolen car at a high rate of speed east on Marconi Avenue in Arden-Arcade.
CHP said he then struck the pedestrian near the intersection with Becerra Way. The speeding driver dragged the person down the street, in the process.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the victim left lying on the ground. The patient sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision.
Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Car
Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that Alcier Albert did not stop to render aid to the person and fled the area. They located the car, possibly a dark Infiniti G-series, near El Camino Avenue at Bridle Path Lane.
The Infiniti ended up with major front-end damage. Officers arrested and charged Alcier Albert with hit-and-run, and gross vehicular manslaughter.
They soon booked him into the Sacramento County Main Jail for submitting a false report. The KCRA News and CBS Sacramento wrote that the accident took place on November 9 shortly before 10 p.m.
