Alejandro Castrejon, 24, Hospitalized After Collision on Highway 101 Near Steele Lane Tuesday
Laytonville, CA (August 10, 2021) – Alejandro Castrejon, a 24-year-old man, suffered serious injuries following a car crash that occurred on Highway 101.
The Press Democrat News reported Alejandro Castrejon was driving a blue 2005 Saturn heading north on Highway 101. When the man approached the area near Steele Lane, he apparently allowed the car to veer into the southbound side. In the process, the Saturn collided head-on into a 2012 Freightliner.
Shortly after 2:50 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the site and rendered aid to Alejandro Castrejon. According to the article published online, paramedics airlifted the injured man to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Authorities added the operator of a big rig, a 63-year-old Williams man, sustained minor injuries as a result of the wreck. A ground ambulance transported the man to Howard Memorial Hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate several factors surrounding the car crash in Laytonville.
