Fatal Car Accident in Nuevo on Ramona Expressway
NUEVO, Calif. (May 20, 2020) —Alejandro Corrales, 24, of Norco, died in a two-vehicle collision on the Ramona Expressway at Hansen Avenue.
The fatal crash took place about 4:29 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two cars were involved in the collision. The white one wound up in a field and the other was on the shoulder of the roadway, police said. One of the cars was on its side and smoking with its driver trapped. Firefighters responded to extricate the person from the vehicle.
The man who died was driving a Toyota Corolla eastbound on Ramona Expressway and Joey Miles, 68, was heading in the opposite direction in his Ford F-150 pickup truck. it’s unknown at this time which driver was at fault.
Police are seeking to find out if drugs and/or alcohol were factors in the collision. The CHP incident number is 00096.
