Motorcyclist Dies in Crash 80 Fwy, Watt Ave
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Nov. 2, 2018) – Alejandro Nuno, 47, was killed and another critically injured early Friday morning on 80 Freeway in Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident took place about 12:28 a.m. in the eastbound traffic lanes of the freeway, just west of Watt Avenue off-ramp.
Two motorcycles were involved and the crash was blocking the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes. Alejandro Nuno died at the scene and the other was taken to a hospital for major injuries.
Both motorcycles were towed away from the scene and police are heading up an investigation into liability.

Police are reviewing the evidence and any witness statements to determine fault. Police are heading up an investigation that will consist of looking at both vehicles including their final resting positions, skid marks, and gouge marks to determine if speed was a factor. It’s unknown if other factors such as distracted driving or drugged driving were to blame.
