Street Sweeper, Pickup Crash on Imperial Highway in La Habra
LA HABRA, Calif. (Dec. 13, 2018) – Alejandro Rodriguez, 25, of Whittier, died early Thursday morning in a collision involving a Toyota pickup truck and a street sweeper in the 1100 block of West Imperial Highway, according to the La Habra Police Department.
The collision between the two vehicles was reported about 2 a.m. this morning, just east of Idaho Street. The driver of the red Toyota suffered major injuries and died at the scene, according to Los Angeles County firefighters. It appears that the Toyota may have rear-ended the street sweeper, police said.
The driver in the street sweeper was not injured. The person stopped and cooperated with the police investigation.
Police closed down the westbound lanes of Imperial Highway to investigate the cause of the crash.

Police are reviewing all the evidence as they try to figure out what led to this collision.
