San Pablo Man, 41, Killed in Crash on Highway 4 in Martinez
MARTINEZ, Calif. (Nov. 24, 2021) — Alejandro Valdez, 41, of San Pablo, died Tuesday night in a two-car crash on state Highway 4 in Martinez.
The deadly crash happened about 9:40 p.m. on the East Bay highway, according to the California Highway Patrol and East Bay Times. The victim’s Harley-Davidson motorcycle reportedly collided with a driver in a Nissan Altima. During the collision, the motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and fell into the roadway, the report said. Sadly, the man died at the scene.
The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of state Highway 4, just east of the McEwen Road exit.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the deadly crash, but authorities identified the motorcycle driver as 41-year-old Alejandro Valdez.
The traffic collision marks the 16th fatal crash on Highway 4 in 2021.
The CHP is heading up an investigation into liability for the deadly crash.
