Alexa Chambers Hit by Drunk Driver on 405 Freeway
According to KTLA News, Alexa Chambers, 18, has been identified as the teenager who was struck Sunday, April 30th, on the 405 freeway by a drunk driver.
The incident occurred near Century Boulevard while Alexa Chambers had pulled over her vehicle as she was accompanied by her boyfriend to help another driver who had apparently been in an accident.
Moments later, a vehicle driven by a 34-year-old struck Alexa Chambers causing great injury to her leaving her with a spinal injury, a fractured hip, and a serious head injury.
Per KTLA 5 News, Chambers’s family made the decision to taken her off life support as she sadly passed away Thursday evening.
Meanwhile, Chamber’s boyfriend who remains unidentified suffered serious injuries including broken ribs and a concussion.
Police officials did not disclose the name of the DUI driver but did indicate that the driver was detained and will face serious charges.
