THOUSAND PALMS, California (Feb. 21, 2017) — Alexandra Hendrickson, 25, was killed early Tuesday morning in a pedestrian accident on Varner Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The fatal crash took place about 1:11 a.m. this morning. The young woman was struck by a driver in a pickup truck about a mile west of Cook Street. Witnesses told police that Hendrickson was walking along the side of the road with another person when she was struck by the motorist.
The driver in the pickup truck stopped and cooperated with police at the scene. A report by the Press Enterprise stated the driver did not see the woman prior to the crash.
