Teenage Girl Killed in Victorville Crash at La Mesa Road and Cantina Drive
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (July 13, 2020) — Alexia Nevalee Aguilar , 17, of Victorville, died last week at the hospital following a major collision at Cantina Drive and La Mesa Road in Victorville.
The teenager was involved in a collision between a white Honda and a gray Dodge Charger about 7:10 PM on July 8, 2020, according to Victor Valley News. The crash took place at a 2-way stop sign at a location where community members say should be a 4-way stop or it should be controlled by a traffic light due to it being dangerous.
Aguilar was driving the Honda at the time of the collision and was found unresponsive by emergency responders.
She was taken by ambulance to Desert Valley Hospital and then she was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. “
Despite life-saving efforts, doctors were unable to revive Aguilar and she was remained on life support until July 9th at 5:32 p.m. Her family has decided to donate her organs as it would have been her wishes.
The family is asking for the public’s help to pay for her funeral and medical expenses by donating to a Go Fund Me account.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT). Witnesses are asked call the Victorville Police Department at 760-241-2911.
