Alfred Rissitto, 49, Cited For DUI After North San Juan Pedestrian Crash
NEVADA COUNTY, CA (May 20, 2021) – Authorities cited Alfred Rissitto for DUI after a crash on Highway 49 in North San Juan.
The California Highway Patrol determined that the 49-year-old Nevada City man was under the influence when he struck a pedestrian.
The incident happened on Wednesday when Alfred Rissitto was driving south on Highway 49 in North San Juan. At the same time, William Blackburn was crossing the roadway.
CHP said the 71-year-old North San Juan pedestrian then walked into traffic. In the process, Alfred Rissitto struck William Blackburn in front of the Brass Rail.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the elderly man wounded. He went airborne as a result of the collision and landed on the ground.
KNCO News wrote that the accident occurred on May 19 at about 3:34 p.m. An air ambulance took him to the Sutter Roseville Medical Center with minor to possible major injuries.
Medical personnel soon listed the victim in fair condition. Meanwhile, CHP mentioned that Alfred Rissitto was not at fault but they cited him for misdemeanor DUI following the crash.
The North San Juan pedestrian collision is still under investigation.
