Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-run Crash

 Alfredo Aguinaldo Fatal Fullerton Pedestrian Accident Orangethorpe AvenueFULLERTON, Calif. (July 8, 2021) —  Alfredo Aguinaldo, 57, died last Thursday in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Orangethorpe Avenue in Fullerton.

Additionally, Katya Garcia-Ayala, 24, of Tustin, was arrested on DUI and hit-and-run charges shortly after the pedestrian accident.

Police arrested the Tustin woman about 45 minutes after the 3:32 a.m. pedestrian accident near Harbor Boulevard.

Her vehicle reportedly struck the victim in the eastbound lanes of Orangethorpe Avenue, according to the Fullerton Police Department.

Soon after the collision, paramedics pronounced Alfredo Aguinaldo dead at the scene, police said.

Additionally, at 4:12 a.m., Fullerton police located the suspect’s a white Ford sedan nearby with major collision damage.

Police charged Katya Garcia-Ayala with felony hit-and-run and driving under the influence after the death of Alfredo Aguinaldo.
