Alfredo Zapien, 52, Badly Injured After Modesto Crash Near Dusty Lane
MODESTO (May 22, 2018) – A 52-year-old man was injured after his motorcycle collided into a 2017 Chevrolet vehicle on Albers Road Saturday evening.
According to Merced Sun-Star, Alfredo Zapien was riding his 2007 Harley Davidson southbound on Albers Road when, for unknown reasons, he allowed the motorcycle to cross the double yellow lines into the northbound lane.
Zapien, traveling at about 45-50 mph, crashed into a northbound 2017 Chevrolet driven by 64-year-old Lee Skonovd, of Denair.
The collision resulted in major injuries to Zapien, who was reportedly taken to Doctors Medical Center for treatment of what appeared to be major injuries.
Meanwhile, Skonovd was reportedly unharmed in the collision.
