Alissa Campos, 19, Killed in Kerman Crash at California and Howard Avenues
KERMAN, CA (July 25. 2021) – Alissa Campos was killed after a head-on crash at California Avenue and Howard Avenue in Kerman.
The California Highway Patrol said the 19-year-old Fresno woman died following the collision which took place on Saturday night.
The incident began when Alissa Campos was riding as a passenger in a speeding 1995 Chevrolet pickup going west on California Avenue in Kerman.
Joseph Rodriguez, 19, Dead in Head-On Collision
At the same time, a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling east. The driver of the truck, 19-year-old Joseph Rodriguez, then lost control of the car near Howard Avenue.
The Kerman man drifted into the eastbound lane and hit the Tahoe head-on. The Fresno Bee and FOX 26 News wrote that the accident occurred on July 24 at about 8:14 p.m.
Both Alissa Campos and Joseph Rodriguez died at the scene of the Kerman crash. The two occupants of the Tahoe sustained minor wounds as a result of the wreck.
Paramedics took the wounded victims to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. Meanwhile, the cause of the Kerman crash is still under investigation.
