Vehicle Hits 2 Pedestrians on Old Redwood Highway
Penngrove, CA (October 18,2022) – Allan Thorpe died, and Beth Thorpe suffered injuries following a pedestrian accident that happened on Old Redwood Highway.
On October 9, Sunday, 73-year-old Allan and 66-year-old Beth attempted to cross the highway in Penngrove. While in the middle of the roadway, the driver of a Hyundai Veloster did not notice the pedestrians. The car hit the two parties in the northbound side of Old Redwood Highway, according to the Press Democrat.
1 Killed, 1 Hurt in Penngrove Pedestrian Accident
Emergency crews responded to the crash site and found the two pedestrians suffering in serious injuries. According to the article published online, the male victim sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the scene. Officials identified the deceased as Allan Thorpe.
Authorities added the female companion, Beth Thorpe, sustained major injuries. An ambulance rushed the patient to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa for treatment and further evaluation.
At this time, detectives continue to work to determine the precise cause of the deadly accident that occurred on Old Redwood Highway in Penngrove.
