Allejandro Arrellano, 49, Seriously Injured in Tehama County Crash on State Route 99E
TEHAMA COUNTY, CA (May 16, 2022) – A fatal crash seriously injured Allejandro Arrellano on State Route 99E in Tehama County.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 49-year-old Gridley man as one of the victims in the wreck which took place on Friday.
The incident happened when Allejandro Arrellano was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu south on State Route 99E in Tehama County.
At the same time, a 2015 Toyota Corolla and a 2002 Cadillac Eldorado were going north. For an unknown reason, the Toyota veered into the southbound lane.

Allejandro Arrellano saw the car and took evasive action. In the process, he slammed head-on into the Cadillac which ended up in an embankment at Singer Creek.
Allejandro Arrellano and the driver of the Eldorado sustained significant injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics rushed them to the hospital for treatment.
A passenger in the Malibu, a 52-year-old man, died following the collision. The Red Bluff Daily News and KRCRTV News wrote that the accident occurred on May 13 at around 2:55 p.m.
Meanwhile, the woman in the Corolla fled the area after the incident. CHP soon arrested and charged her with vehicular manslaughter.
They booked the suspect into the Tehama County Jail. The cause of the Tehama County crash is still under investigation.
