Allen Sham, 69, Killed in Fremont Hit-and-Run Crash on Peralta Boulevard
FREMONT, CA (July 12, 2021) – Allen Sham died after a hit-and-run crash on Peralta Boulevard in Fremont last month.
Police identified the 69-year-old Livermore man as the victim of the collision on June 30 in the Centerville district.
The incident began when Allen Kwok Keung Sham was walking westbound along the right lane of Peralta Boulevard in Fremont. For an unknown reason, a vehicle struck him from behind.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian left lying on the ground. Allen Sham sustained major injuries as a result of the Fremont crash.
Pedestrian Hit by Car
East Bay Times and KRON 4 News wrote that the accident took place shortly after 10:15 p.m. Medical personnel soon rushed the victim to a local trauma center, where he died on July 7.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver briefly stopped after hitting the man. The motorist then continued, turned onto Dusterberry Way and fled the site.
Officers described the car as a dark-colored sedan with possible moderate damage to its front bumper, front hood or windshield.
