Allen Sison Joson, 47, Killed in Sonoma Motorcycle Crash on Highway 37
SONOMA, CA (June 13, 2021) – Allen Sison Joson was killed after a motorcycle crash on Highway 37 near Sonoma.
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office identified the 47-year-old Vallejo man as the victim of the fatal wreck on Wednesday evening.
The incident happened on June 9 when Allen Glenn Sison Joson was riding a motorcycle east on Highway 37 near Sonoma. He then slowed as he approached a traffic backup in the area.
For an unknown reason, a Chevrolet Express van struck the rider from behind. The California Highway Patrol said the bike went off the road and skidded down an embankment.
Multiple Vehicles Collide Near Fresh Air Bridge
The van continued and slammed into the rear of a Hyundai Sonata. The impact forced the Hyundai into the back of a Dodge Ram pickup truck. The van and the Sonata also plunged down the embankment.
CHP found Allen Sison Joson lying in thick brush as a result of the Sonoma crash. The Press Democrat wrote that the paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The accident took place at around 7 p.m., just west of the Richard Fresh Air Janson Bridge over Sonoma Creek. Meanwhile, the 66-year-old woman driving the Hyundai sustained injuries following the wreck.
Medical personnel took her to a hospital for treatment. The cause of the Highway 37 collision is still under investigation.
