Woman Badly Hurt in Head-On Collision Near Mission Vista Drive
Allied Gardens, CA (February 2, 2023) – One person suffered serious injuries following a car accident that occurred on Mission Gorge Road on February 1, Wednesday.
The ABC10 News reported two vehicles crashed head-on near the intersection of Mission Vista Drive in Allied Gardens. Preliminary investigation revealed the 83-year-old woman was behind the wheel of a 1996 Ford Crown Victoria heading west on Mission Gorge. Our sources indicated the Ford Crown collided with a 2010 Honda Civic traveling east on Mission Gorge. Officials mentioned both drivers had a green light when the crash happened.
Major Injury Traffic Accident on Mission Gorge Road in Allied Gardens
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they rendered aid to both drivers involved in the wreck. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed the 83-year-old woman suffered a fractured left femur; and a fractured right ankle and sternum. An ambulance transported the patient to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Meanwhile, the condition of the Honda Civic driver remained undisclosed.
Detectives handling the case stayed at the scene for several hours. They continue to investigate exactly how and why the collision happened on Gorge Road in Allied Gardens.
