Alma Cresanto, 27, Killed in Santa Paula and Bradely Street Crash
SANTA PAULA (October 22, 2018) – A mother was killed and her baby was severely injured after a traffic collision at Santa Paula and Bradley streets late Saturday night, according to Ventura County Star.
Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased woman as 27-year-old Alma Cresanto, of Santa Paula. She was seven months pregnant.
As per the article, police said a white GMC Acadia SUV was headed east on Santa Paula Street when its driver made a left turn onto Bradley into the path of a black Dodge pickup truck.
Baby, 2, Severely Injured in Santa Paula Accident
The pickup, which was going west on Santa Paula at the time, then t-boned the passenger side of the SUV where Cresanto was sitting. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her 2-year-old daughter was immediately taken to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to be treated for severe head trauma. The tragic accident was reported on October 20 at around 10:35 p.m.
Meanwhile, a compact Mercedez Benz was sideswiped by the truck during the crash. It was not specified in the report whether or not the drivers of the three vehicles involved were hurt in the incident.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
