1 Seriously Injured in Alpine Crash on Eastbound Interstate 8 Near Victoria
ALPINE, CA (August 29, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on the Interstate 8 near Victoria Drive in Alpine.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 1:18 p.m.
According to their dispatch, a black sedan and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Alpine. The two crashed on the eastbound Interstate 8 near Victoria Drive.
2 Vehicles Collide
CHP added that one of the cars involved slammed into the guard rail. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found one person hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound lanes of the Interstate 8 near Victoria Drive to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Alpine car crash.
