4-Vehicle Collision in Alpine
ALPINE, Calif. (Sept. 27, 2023) — A chain-reaction crash happened Wednesday on Willows Road near the on-ramp and off-ramp to the Interstate 8 Freeway in Alpine.
The four-vehicle collision occurred around 12:35 p.m. on Sept. 27th in front of 3962 Willows Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported four vehicles including a red Jeep Cherokee, a white Buick Lecross, a white GMC and a red Toyota Corolla were involved.
A driver in a white GMC reportedly crashed into a woman driving the Jeep and pushed the vehicle into a white Buick and the red Toyota.
Some of the vehicles were not drivable after the crash and one went off the roadway into a ditch, the report said. There was glass and fluids in the roadway that needed to be cleared and at least one vehicle was towed, police said.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person who was reportedly hurt in the crash, but there are no further details at this time.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash on Willows Road. Alpine is a town in the Cuyamaca Mountains of San Diego County.
