
Victim Hospitalized After Crash Near Tavern Road
Alpine, CA (February 17, 2023) – One person suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 8 Freeway, the San Diego Union-Tribune News reported.
Our sources indicated a man was seen standing next to a disabled 2002 Cadillac Eldorado along the freeway in Alpine. For reasons still unclear, a passing tractor-trailer hauling a water tanker veered towards the direction of the disabled car.
Truck vs. Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 8 in Alpine
Officials confirmed the big rig struck the Cadillac, and the personal standing next to it. The collision took place just west of Tavern Road on February 17, Friday.
When medical personnel arrived at the location, they immediately checked the conditions of all parties involved in the crash. Paramedics later transported the injured person, the man standing beside the Cadillac, to a San Diego hospital for treatment of major trauma. Personal information on the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
No other injuries were reported in the collision. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the traffic accident that happened on Interstate 8 in Alpine.
