At Least 1 Injured in Collision Near Drum Forebay Road Offramp Friday
Alta, CA (February 25, 2022) – A traffic accident that occurred Friday on Interstate 80 resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.

Earlier reports indicated two vehicles collided in the eastbound lanes of I-80, also known as Alan Hart Freeway. The collision took place in the area near the Drum Forebay Road offramp.
Shortly after 12:44 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found a truck pulling a horse trailer disabled in the middle of the roadway. Authorities added the over vehicle, a white Camaro, also sustained damage due to the force from the impact.
Paramedics rendered aid to all possible victims in the accident. The CHP log mentioned one person sustained minor to major injuries–including a broken arm, and trauma to their head. Pending confirmation, personal information on the victim have not been discussed thus far.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the traffic accident on Interstate 80 in Alta.
